Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night delayed to 2018

A backer update for the successfully Kickstarted Castlevania spiritual successor Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night brings news of a delay to the first half of 2018.

The game’s producer, Koji Igarashi (also known as IGA) shared the news in a video update today.

The last thing I want to do is keep our backers waiting, but after receiving such incredible support, I feel responsible for delivering the best product I possibly can. Again, I offer my sincerest apologies.

Delays are always painful, but here at Gaming on PC we think that it’s better to wait for a product that the game’s developers feel happy with, rather than forcing them to push a game out the door too early.

General impressions from the latest demos have been highly positive, so this delay shouldn’t be a reason to worry about the game’s quality.
