Eisenhorn: Xenos gets surprise Steam release (Update, the early release was a mistake)

Update: It seems that the developers didn’t intend to release Eisenhorn: Xenos on Steam today, and today’s early release was a mistake. Gamers who managed to purchase the title will get an update to the release build. The new release date is August 10, 2016.

Warhammer 40k fans rejoice! Eisenhorn: Xenos, a 3d action adventure game based on the Eisenhorn trilogy of books written by renowned Warhammer 40.000 author Dan Abnett, has been released today on Steam for US$ 19.99 (reduced to US$ 14.59 for a week)

In an interesting take on the Warhammer 40k universe, players won’t get to play as a hulking Space Marine, but will instead play as a human, the titular Inquisitor Eisenhorn, voiced by none other than Mark Strong (who, among many high profile movie roles, voiced Captain Titus in the excellent Warhammer 40.000 Space Marine)

The game’s developer, Pixel Hero Games, promises a faithful adaptation of the source Eisenhorn trilogy of books, and has been working closely with Dan Abnett.

Game Features:

– Fully 3D exploration using agility, tech scanners, and psychic powers.
– A party system where the player can choose which characters to accompany them on missions. Different characters will enhance varying aspects of Eisenhorn’s skills.
– Unlock and utilise the Imperium’s most iconic weaponry.
– Fully voiced acted, with Mark Strong providing the voice for Eisenhorn.
