Halo: The Master Chief Collection Coming to Steam

Yeah, I can’t believe it either. Halo: The Master Chief Collection is not only coming to PC this year, but it will launch on both Steam and the Windows Store. Fans of the series who have already experienced this phenomenal collection will still get new stuff to play, as Halo: Reach is also included (and will be the first to drop on PC).

We don’t yet have a release date, but we know that the PC version of The Master Chief Collection will drop piece by piece, starting with Halo: Reach.

According to 343 Industries, the PC ports will take advantage of the platform’s power, with excellent mouse and keyboard controls, support for multiple resolutions and aspect ratios, field-of-view sliders, and adjustable frame-rates, to name but a few.
This is also one of the big reasons behind their decision of making the collection available on both the Microsoft Store and Steam, as the company says that they believe PC gamers should be able to “step into the franchise on the PC platform of their choice” (a sentiment we share wholeheartedly).

Hopefully Halo 5 will follow suit once the MCC games are all out on PC.
