Ironsight Coming to Steam on December 18

Gamigo announced today that their popular free to play shooter Ironsight will get a Steam release on December 18th. The game is still in the Open Beta phase (though the Steam launch marks the final stretch before the 1.0 version drops) and alongside the new platform, there will be a sizable update bringing two new maps, a Capture the Flag mode, cosmetic skins and a second Battle Pass.

For anyone who hasn’t heard of Ironsight, from my time with it, it’s basically a F2P version of Call of Duty 4, with better graphics and some modern improvements, but keeping the feel of the game that rocketed Call of Duty to the top of the charts a decade ago. Considering the state the PC version of the new Modern Warfare launched in (and certain gameplay choices they made) I’d definitely recommend Ironsight over it in a heartbeat.
