Devolver Digital has just released a new video outlining the intricacies of the combat system in Gamepires‘ upcoming open world survival game SCUM. Sharp eyed players will quickly learn that this particular multiplayer survival title won’t feature the tried and true clunky melee systems sported by its competitors, as the good people working on the game have decided to take a different approach, building a combat engine that could easily be found in a dedicated fighting game. The trailer showcases different combo moves, evasion maneuvers, blocking, the effect of weight and character stats on unarmed combat, and last but not least, a bear which may or may not have been punched.
