Deep Silver and Yu Suzuki announced today that Shenmue 3 will miss its intended August 27 release date, shipping on November 19 instead. According to Mr. Suzuki, the game needs “a little more refinement before being truly finished”, and this extra time will let his team deliver the experience fans have been waiting for since 2001.

Hopefully that’s all there is to it and this last minute delay has nothing to do with certain PC exclusivity shenanigans that have been going on lately (you’ll have to excuse me for being a little bit paranoid, but Deep Silver has already engaged in this behavior with Metro Exodus, so the chance is there).
