Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 Delayed to April 2017

CI Games announced today that the highly anticipated third installment of the Sniper: Ghost Warrior franchise will miss its January 2017 release date, and will now adjust its sights for a April 4, 2017 launch.

“We’re making an ambitious game and unfortunately still need an extra few months to make sure it will stand up to the expectations of the fans,” said Marek Tymiński, CEO of CI Games. “Our goal is to ensure Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 runs smoothly on all platforms, and right now we still have some important work left on optimizing the game. This is our biggest project we’ve ever worked on and the entire team is pushing really hard to make the entire experience more polished. I really hope everyone will understand our decision and will wait the extra time to play something we’re excited about, and that will redefine our IP and the sniping genre as a whole. This is a new beginning for the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series.”

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 will abandon the linear structure used by its predecessors, letting players explore an open world and take on targets however they want.

  1. I think also, that this move is a good idea, espacialy, there they have problems with stable running on consoles. Additionaly PC version will also have some tuning. I wish that they released more trailers or screens from new missions.

  2. Also many movies on the net is showing how this game has changed from the last time. CI Games tis trying very hard to surprise players and this time i think, that they won. But with verdict i will wait till april.

  3. It’s a shame, but what can you do? We have to wait. I hope it’s gonna be worth it, but when I watch gameplays and trailers I’m pretty sure we won’t be disappointed.

  4. Well, If they need some extra time that’s okay. I prefer to play in finished game, not in a finished, plus day one patch. hopefully, these probably is certification problem, maybe some optimization. and they quickly get rid of this bugs.

  5. I’m not happy about this deley thing again… Now we have to wait until April 2017. What the hell?? They want me to have heart attack? 🙂

  6. Heya just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the images aren’t loading correctly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different internet browsers and both show the same outcome.

    • Thanks for a link. I was reading this interview and many users should be pleased. PC gamer will have HDR and multiGPU support. Console fans will have stable [i think] 30fps and quite high resolutions. Thats good result. Im wonder how CI Games will use PS4 Pro power?
