Ubisoft Reveals the Division Heartland

Ubisoft revealed this week that Red Storm is working on Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland, a free to play title that will arrive sometime in 2021-22. Fans who wish to help Red Storm playtest the game should head over to this link and sign up for early testing. Heartland will be released for PC, consoles and cloud platforms (I’m assuming there won’t be a Steam release though, sadly).

That’s not all though, as you can see in the roadmap I’ve embedded above. The Division 2 will get new content either this year or in 2022, and according to Ubisoft, it will add “…an entirely new game mode for The Division franchise and new methods for levelling your agents with an emphasis on increasing build variety and viability”

A mobile game, a novel and a Netflix film are also in the works, and Ubisoft says they are aiming to transform The Division into a transmedia franchise. Time will tell if any of these projects are worth a watch.
