XSEED Games revealed this week that they are working on a PC port of Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls, due out on May 29th. For those who aren’t up to date with this revered dungeon crawling series, Labyrinth of Lost Souls was originally released as a PlayStation 3 exclusive back in 2011.
For nearly 40 years, RPGs across every gaming platform have paid tribute to Wizardry’s original innovations. Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls restores those innovations with a modern and handsome presentation, while retaining the time-honored mechanics and fierce challenge that defined the series.
This new PC version will retail for US$14.99, and customers who purchase it during the launch week will get 10% off as a thank you gesture from the publisher. And if you were asking yourself what do you get in exchange for your hard earned cash, the answer is an updated port that features HD graphics, multiple resolutions, customizable controls (both for joysticks and mouse/keyboard), as well as Turbo Mode, a feature that wasn’t part of the original PlayStation 3 release. All the DLC that has been released so far will be included, making this the definitive edition of Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls.
