HITMAN 3 transitions to World of Assassination

IO Interactive revealed today that HITMAN 3 will cease to exist on January 26th, as it’ll become HITMAN – World of Assassination, which includes all three modern HITMAN games in one neat package. Existing owners of HITMAN 3 will be happy to learn that HITMAN- World of Assassination is a free upgrade for their game, and they’ll also own HITMAN 1 and 2 content inside that title now, thanks to the switch.

Owners of HITMAN 3 who wish to upgrade their edition with the extra content available for the game will be able to purchase a Deluxe pack that will be available for US$30 or their regional equivalent, and it’ll include the HITMAN 3 Deluxe Pack, HITMAN 3 Seven Deadly Sins Collection and HITMAN 2 Expansion Access Pass. Aside from that, players who don’t yet own HITMAN 3 will be able to purchase HITMAN – World of Assassination for US$70 or their regional equivalent. This package includes HITMAN 3, plus H1 GOTY Access Pass and H2 Standard Access Pass.

This news comes a few months after the company experienced significant backlash for how unnecessarily complex the purchasing experience for these games was, as the amount of different packages on offer was excessive.
