Feeling the need to replay Quake? Today might be the best day to do so, as id Software‘s timeless first person shooter just got a pretty nifty re-release on Steam adding all sorts of stuff (two expansions developed by MachineGames!).
I see you looking at your wallet with worry, but fret not, this update is free! The original Quake is still there if you’d rather play without achievements and other modern additions, too. I fired it up for a quick spin and things look fine, so I’ll be using this remaster for all my future Quake-ing, I think (the inclusion of the soundtrack without needing extra tinkering seals the deal for me, to be honest).
