Konami announced today that they have partnered with Cygames to bring Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner to PC and PlayStation 4 in Spring 2018.

This remastered version of the critically acclaimed 2003 classic will feature 4K resolution and VR support*, as well as enhanced graphics and surround sound.

Since its debut in 2003, Zone of the Enders. The 2nd Runner has stood as a monumental example of graphics, sound design, and storytelling for the mech action genre. The release of the Zone of the Enders HD Collection in 2012 improved these features while adding others. And now this forever masterpiece will return for its third manifestation.

*We don’t know yet whether the PC version will support VR functionality or not, as all the promo materials mention PSVR, but the trailer also states “4k resolution and VR support on PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR, and Steam”.
